Simply obvious.

Himself and I are having an ongoing disagreement about which is the better Simply Red song — Fairground, or Stars. Now, for me, the answer is obvious — Stars is by far the better song. There is much more emotion in Mick Hucknall’s voice as he warbles it, the lyrics are more meaningful, and it’s a much deeper love song than Fairground, which himself prefers. 

I, personally, have my own reasons for disliking Fairground — When I was about seven or eight, I remember vividly sitting down in front of the TV eating potato croquettes and watching the video to Fairground. That night I was violently ill. I’ve never eaten potato croquettes since, and I still can’t listen to Fairground. True story. 

Any thoughts? Which do you prefer?
